Based on a broad sound cosmos, these 12 songs maneuver through the magic of the eastern world. A spellbinding, soul-soothing journey, guided by Jasmon’s favour for organic sounds and instrumentation.
Delicate tablas take the lead on the longing “Caravans In The Desert”, accompanied by an irresistible guitar theme. While “Dum Danum” features sacred Indian chanting, the “Indian Ocean” embraces with a warm, feel good vibe. The song is a collaboration with “Slow World” – a moniker of Daniel Voss, who is also the other half of Lemongrassmusic. While travelling, Jasmon allows itself a little time-out here and there. Tracks like “Surfer Beach” invite you to relax and to clear your head for adventures to come. The 5th album of the project since its foundation back in the late 90s, flows and meanders as a river does. A virtual, dreamlike journey, that leads us to places of beauty and serenity.
Picking the appropriate ingredients from Middle East, Asia and all around the Oriental world, appears almost effortless throughout the whole album. To put that in balance with the finest of Downtempo and Lounge Electronica, showcases the matured skills and instinct of Roland Voss aka Jasmon, turning his releases into masterpieces of the scene, and here it’s no different. This mesmerizing trip to the “East” leaves a unique aroma, longing for more.
