Matthew Daniel released his debut album “The Collaborations” on Lemongrassmusic in September 2016, since then he has teamed up with Neo-Soul, Soul and Jazz singers for 11 brand new songs on his second/forthcoming album “My Side Of The Story”.

The Lemongrassmusic operators Roland Voss and Daniel Voss decided to take creative action and remix his collaboration vocalists work in the style of Roland Voss’ “Lemongrass” music project.

“Gypsy Day” was written by U.K. singer-songwriter Eleana. Having worked in various bands and with a variety of productions in different musical styles, her voice lent a soft soulful element to Matthew’s experimental Nu-Soul production style, with a really jazzy side, too. “Gypsy Day” is paying homage to that 90’s feel good Erykah Badu rim shot style production – for examples “Baduizm” and “Mama’s Gun”, with a feel good baseline and keyboard chords this groove takes you on a musical journey with decent lyrical content from Eleana herself. The remix by Lemongrass is a specialist Chillout remix to enjoy on a sunny day, wherever you are relaxing in the shade.

“My Side Of The Story” featuring Alisha Glover, who is a talented U.S. Funk/Soul artist performed the vocals to this track, and worked with Matthew on the original. However the Voss brothers have done a really special Deep Brazil Remix which offers a totally new take on the original which again pays homage to early Erykah Badu and Jill Scott records.

“Rhythm Of Life” featuring Roszunn, the man of the moment that all the DJ’s are playing and loving! “Rhythm Of Life” was a breakers song in the Mi-Soul, Soul Connoiseurs Chart played and supported by DJ Franklin Sinclair from England. With happy drums, Lemongrass have remixed “Rhythm Of Life” with a Nu-Disco vibe that DJ’s across the world will love.
